Ronald Martin
Akron Resident Ronald Martin is the founder and director of the North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band. He Started the group in 2007 and has enjoyed watching it grow in numbers and in musicianship. When he is not teaching the band he studies steel drum improvisation with New York pianist Dave Frank.
Tim "The Patriot's Apprentice" Tell
Akron resident Tim "The Patriot's Apprentice" Tell is the bands drumset player. Tim also plays drumset in two other rock bands.
Kelley Flinn
Cuyahoga Falls native Kelley Flinn has been playing double seconds with the North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band for almost two years. Kelley has also made some solo steel drum appearances around Ohio. In addition to steel drums Kelley plays percussion and piano.
Cody Vidmar
Hailing from Aurora, Ohio Cody has been playing the lead pan in the North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band since it first began. Besides steel drum Cody also plays trombone in the Aurora High School Marching Band.
Paul Stamer
One of the newer members of the band, Silver Lake resident Paul Stamer has become an accomplished cello pan player in a short amount of time. When Paul is not playing pan he can be found working at GoodYear.
Steven Stamer
Son of cello pan player Paul Stamer, Silver Lake resident Steven Stamer is one of the original North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band members and its only double tenor player. When Steven is not playing pan he enjoys growing his collection of fish and fish tanks and running a highly profitable lemonade stand.
Phil Newton
Aurora Ohio's own Phil Newton is one of the original doulbe seconds players in the band. Besides playing pan Phil enjoys playing drumset and airsoft.
Mich Watanabe
From Twin Lakes Ohio, Mich Watanabe is one of the band's first members and a valuable member of the band's double seconds section. Outside of Music Mich works for Case Western Reserve University as a scientific researcher and is a mother of two.
Sue Martin
Twinsburgh native Sue Martin is one of the bands very talented lead pan players as well as band director Ronald Martin's mother. When Sue is not playing pan she enjoys exercising and spending time with her family.
Madison Miller
Madison Miller is one of the newest additions to the North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band. This lead pan player from Hudson, Ohio comes to the band with plenty of steel drum experience having played with the Miller South Steel Drum Band. Madison also enjoys playing the harp and learning karate.
Linden Miller
Hudson, Ohio native Linden Miller is one of the bands newest and youngest members. This lead pan player comes to the band with a lot of musical experience as she also plays the harp. Linden not only aspires to be a great lead pan player but also a great singer.
