How Much Does It Cost To Join The Band?

To be in the band there is a monthly fee of $133.00. In addition to the monthly fee there is a yearly music/retuning fee of $150.00.

What Do I Get For The Monthly Fee?

When a person joins the North of Trinidad Steel Drum Band they get the following: A full sized steel drum(s) to take home and practice plus the stand, mallets and case. A weekly one hour rehearsal with the full band. A weekly half hour private lesson with the band director, Ronald Martin. Do the math. Where else can you get all of this for $133.00 a month?

Do I Get To Pick Which Steel Drum(s) I Play?

Which steel drum(s) a person gets to play is based on drum availability at the time the person joins the band.

Where And When Does The Full Band Rehearse?

The full band rehearses every Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Hoban High School located at 1 Holy Cross Blvd. Akron, Ohio 44306.

When Would My Private Lesson Be?

Private lessons are given at a time that is convenient for both the student and Ronald Martin.

Does The Band Ever Play Any Gigs?

Yes! The band plays a variety of gigs throughout the year. In the past we have played school assemblies, church picnics and a variety of private functions.

Is There Anything Else I Need To Know?

Yes. In order for anyone to join the band they must agree to and sign the following contract.
